They’re finally ready – woo hoo!
If you’re asking yourself what I’m so excited about, it’s the brand new, first-of-their-kind in Riviera Maya, over-the-water bungalows at El Dorado Maroma – called “Palafitos” which in Spanish means “stilt house”.
The new Palafitos overwater bungalows are the most romantic suites I’ve ever seen, and the folks at El Dorado Maroma Resort really did them up right……amazingly comfy bedding, butler service (yes! Butler service!) luxury in-room amenities, an indoor double-jacuzzi tub (hubba hubba!), a private outdoor infinity pool PLUS a secluded and intimate outdoor shower, and a ladder that goes right into that gorgeous tuquoise water….wow, just wow.
When you add in the exclusive access to the overwater Naay Spa and overwater grill & wine bar (and 24-hour room service), you never have to leave the Palafitos bungalow dock!
If that’s a little too “Water World” for you, don’t worry – you can still get your toes in the exquisitely super-soft white sand of Maroma Beach with exclusive (reserved just for you) beach beds and personally customized beach picnics, and access to everything else that the award-winning El Dorado Maroma offers.
Tip: the bungalows at the outer edge of the “T” are “Elite” suites because they have an outward-facing view of the ocean – if you’re here for the romance, that’s the suites you’ll want because they let you imagine you’re in a world all to yourselves, and in my book nothing is more romantic than privacy. 🙂
